What is Xstrahl?
In the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer, benign conditions, and palliative care, Xstrahl’s system for superficial radiotherapy and X-ray therapy can help rapidly improve the quality of care, increase treatment capacity, and broaden the range of treatment options available to patients.
The treatment systems are available in energy levels from 10 to 30 kV and free up valuable time on the linear accelerators for more complex patient groups. Treatments can be performed in hard-to-reach locations such as around the neck, eyes, and ears — even directly in the patient's bed. Thanks to the low energy levels, a bunker is usually not needed; often 3 mm of lead in the walls is sufficient, making the systems cost-effective and easy to install.
